T-shirt printing comes in many forms, fashion, advertising, promotional events, corporate wear and many more. Producing a great technical simulated process photographic image onto a t-shirt can be difficult you either use the traditional screen printed technique or the more modern approach digital transfer. Screenworks Ltd have always gone down the traditional root screen printing with many employees having skills from university and knowledge from day to day work over the years. This means that this can be the more difficult decision but does produce a more realistic look and feel when viewing and wearing the garment. Our artwork team have been trained to use a separation programme called quikseps professional which alows them to separate photographic images onto t-shirts. you ask “how do you print a photographic image onto a t-shirts” we would say with difficulty but this is achievable. Colours and halftone dots are what makes the image, The image above “Land Rover” from the company TKS was made up of 6 colours plus a base and even though was printed onto Black we always print black to achieve better detail. The trick is selecting the correct base, adjusting the channels and the producing crisp screens using 90-120 mesh counts and having alot of patience but not to be scared to make adjustments when on press. We are very confident in what we do and are always learning new techniques as every image is approached differently. We offer the service of screen printing onto T-Shirts and are always here to ask advise on designs and would recommend using quikseps professional if they are thinking of getting into separating their images. Screenworks Ltd is known for being the profesional screen printer onto textiles most famously T-Shirts but technology has changed and so have we. Digital Tranfsers have always been the cheaper option for producing full photographic Promotional clothing products i.e. T-Shirts. We didn’t invest in this technology as we felt there was something better just round the corner so weve been keeping a close eye on future ideas from manufactures in the states. The new technology was called direct to garment where you digitally print onto a T-Shirt or any other Promotional clothing product, basicsally just like you home desktop printer but a much larger scale. The product we feel to do the job is the new DTG Xpress Direct-To-Garment Printer, Our friends at YESLTD are official suppliers and we work very closely with them for all our embroidery machinery so when they announced this new product we were very excited. The DTG Xpress has a max resolution of Up to 2880 dpi it can produce Super large prints, 12 at a time or standard smaller size images at 15 to 20 garments in one pass! That’s a potential of up to 200 pieces per hour for light coloured printing and 40 to 80 on dark colours. This means we no longer have NO setups NO Screens NO messy Inks NO cleanup NO Film and NO skilled operators. This is potentially the future ofT-Shirt printing and Screenworks Ltd will be one of the first to own this new kit in 2010. Keep an eye out for the latest news and updates on when this service will be offered to you, Contact Matt Daines, email: sales@screenworks.co.uk or ring 0845 3669757 you can always visit www.screenworks.co.uk to view our services for you printed T-Shirt or Embroidered Promotional Clothing.
